• Would you like to become more comfortable with discomfort and speaking what you avoid saying?

  • Would you like to explore listening as a doorway to profound change?

  • Do you hear your own inner dialog and are shocked and saddened by how you treat yourself?

  • How is your heart, nervous system, and body connected to how you communicate?

  • Are you wanting to be a part of creating a more mutual/power-with world?

Maybe one or more of those questions resonated with you. Or perhaps you sense that there must be another way for you to be in relationship that would feel more honest, a way for you to feel alive and connected.

Words Matter. Listening is an Art.

When I first began learning Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and practicing it, I remember feeling a sense of such deep relief. I thought,

There is a way to speak and to listen that helps me stay connected to myself and connected to the world around me. There are ways of using words and of listening that can change the way I see myself and others. The listening part, learning what empathy really means–in my heart–was life changing.

The ways I had been conditioned to listen were so unhelpful. I began to feel free to be myself in ways I couldn’t have imagined. In the bigger picture I see communication as paradigm changing work. I believe changing how we speak and listen can change the world. It certainly has changed mine.

And it’s not perfect. It won’t be because we aren’t, perfect that is.  I don’t get it right all the time. I still stumble through difficult moments. The difference is I have a framework that I can lean into that supports me to re-remember and realign myself with the deepest part of me, the part that wants to be loving and truthful.

NVC is all about changing your brain. When you break the habit of how you speak and listen to yourself and others you rewire your brain. NVC is the framework and compassion, the consciousness we are cultivating.

And rewiring your nervous system is the most effective way of changing your life.

This program will help you line your emotions up with your words so you are able to stand in your truth. Not from a place of good, bad, right or wrong, but from a place of truth. From the perspective of these are my thoughts, feelings, needs, this is why I am behaving the way I am. I  want to stay connected to you so please tell me what is going on for you. This program is based on the NVC model and includes complementary teachings and practices.
